DISABILITY SERVICES: Support Team Network

As an NDIS Provider Windsor, it’s always important that you have a strong team that you can rely on. It is pretty similar to the professional player that needs a good team to achieve a common goal.

Although your team may look a little different to that of an athlete, the end goal is pretty much the same – to help you be the best version of yourself and achieve your goals.

Under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), you can establish goals and receive support from experienced professionals, who can help you reach the desired goals.

Here’s a sneak peek into how just a few NDIS professionals can help you in this journey:

Support Coordinator NDIS

A Support Coordinator NDIS’ role is to put your plan into action with the support of service providers. Throughout your plan, a support coordinator will develop your capacity by prioritizing funding. Focused on building your confidence, Support Coordinators ‘translate’ the sometimes complicated NDIS terminology to improve your understanding as well as knowledge of how your plan works.

The support coordinator is the person who is always accessible to NDIS team members whenever they experience any problem with a service provider or get issues in accessing the support.

Plan Manager NDIS

Managing the NDIS finance plan is a tedious process that involves lots of different aspects that includes paying the service providers for their services, managing the budget, keeping data for audit purposes and liaising with the service providers.

The most important goal of NDIS support is to help individuals to live their life to the fullest and a lot of people find that the task of managing the NDIS plan funds is complicated and confusing without the help of a Plan manager.

A Plan Manager is like your personal coach. They are responsible for ensuring that your plan has the funding it needs and you’re receiving the right level of support.

Similar to a Support Coordinator NDIS, a Plan Manager will work with service providers on your behalf to achieve the best outcome for you.

Support Workers and Health Professionals

It could be assistance in daily living and help in basic tasks or establishing communication skills, help in community participation, travel training, to find a skilled and qualified allied health professional or disability support worker.

Depending on your circumstances and NDIS goals, you may be eligible for services such as therapeutic support, which can include employment-related counselling, dietician, exercise physiology, personal training and psychologist or access to allied health professionals like speech pathologists.

Health workers are trustworthy and experienced professionals who can help you live a fulfilling life by providing tailored support in the areas of your day-to-day life that need it the most.

Your biggest supporters

More than anyone, your informal support, such as friends, family and the local community, will be your biggest assets in your NDIS journey.

These are the people who are not paid or compensated for their support. They simply do it out of love for you!

With the help of a Plan Manager or Support Coordinator and other service providers, your informal support helps to make sure that you have someone looking out for you, a shoulder to lean on and a caring, easily accessible person to turn to for advice.

At Quantum Disability Services, we have a team of trusted Support Coordinators who are passionate about working closely with you and your loved ones.
